This charming little bell is made from the handle of a triumph pattern butter knife. It seems as though every spoon bender can find something to do with all of the silverware except the knives. I'm the green type and like to use it all so here is what I do with the back of the knives. The Triumph silverware pattern is from 1941 and has great form. I like the band at the bottom and the flow of flowers tapering off at the top.
I have smooth finished the edges at the bottom of the bell with a very tiny grinding wheel to insure that there are no sharp edges and that this piece is a good representation of quality workmanship.
The finding for the bail is wrapped around itself inside and outside with solid sterling silver wire so that it's super sturdy. The clapper for the bell is the end of a fork tine suspended from chain.
Comes with an 20" chain.
