This is a Stanton Hall sterling Silver Spoon Ring I made from a teaspoon from 1951.
Check out what I found out about 'Stanton Hall'-
"In 1858, Frederick Stanton built the home of his dreams for his family on his new property - an entire city block of Natchez, Mississippi. The city block cost about $1,550.The house cost over $83,000 before it was even furnished. Cabrera Marble, mahogany doors 2 1/2 inches thick, chandeliers from France, and Italian statuary appointed the interior. Ironically, he lived only one month after his dream home was finished."
That bit of history is brought to you thanks to the Pilgrimage Garden Club of Natchez, Mississippi. Life really is crazier then fiction! If you want to check out pictures of this Mississippi palace, go here http://www.stantonhall.com/
I could not have made up that story, but i did make this spoon ring named after Stanton's place. Oneida Heirloom company made this sterling silverware pattern in 1951. The patterns name is written inside the ring, you may be able to spot it in the pictures. It is made from solid sterling silver, and will look fabulous on any ones hand.
At the thinnest point on the band this ring measures 1/4 inch, at the widest point it is almost 3/4 of an inch. It weights a hefty 17.5 grams of pure sterling, over half a troy ounce.
