Spoon Ring Wrapped Coronation

The Coronation silverware pattern was commissioned in 1936 to commemorate the coronation of England's King Edward VIII but he renounced the throne in order to marry Wallis Simpson. Ahh, the power of love.  

Of course Edwards choice left his brother in a tight spot. His brother (King George VI, who was Queen Elizabeth II's father), was thrust onto the throne just as WWII was starting.  He was the stuttering King in "The King's Speech".  Its not everyday you get a ring with such an interesting background.

This wrapped demitasse ring is just under 3/4 of an inch wide on the top.
