This pattern is from 1938. The legend of Arcadia goes back longer than anyone decided it might be a good idea to put some of this stuff down on paper. Arcadia is a Greek city after all, named after Arcas, the great hunter. Arcas still around of course because he's immortal. You can see him at night as Ursa Major or the Big Bear.
