Imperial is from 1939. It's a W.M. Rogers Sectional pattern from International Sterling or International silver or whatever people want to call it for marketing purposes. Marketing is one of those crazy things I never did before this. I worked in factories, a VW junkyard, and cornfields. I thought I wouldn't work well with people because I was so shy. I was really good at my jobs though, after all, I'm Iowan. I was always trying to figure out how to be more efficient at work and was always faster than everyone else. The biggest problem with being faster was that it didn't mean I got paid more. I got more pats on the back and "atta boy's" I was the last one to get laid off for Christmas I was the one who got to work though the winter at the corn company. Looking back all it got me was more burns from molten plastic, more time breathing chemical laden plastic dust, more time with my skin and hair dyed red or black, more busted knuckles, and a 90 year olds back. Every time making jewelry gets a little hard I like to think about all that stuff I used to do to make other people money, schedule a potluck, and throw my head back and laugh at all that stupid stuff I did when I was younger for a greasy buck.
Man, I love my life!

This bell is 1 inch tall, .77 inches wide, and .42 inches thick.

I have smooth finished the edges at the bottom of the bell with a very tiny grinding wheel to insure that there are no sharp edges and that this piece is a good representation of quality workmanship.
The finding for the bail is wrapped around itself inside and outside with solid sterling silver wire so that it's super sturdy. The clapper for the bell is the end of a fork tine suspended from chain.

Comes with a 20" stainless steel chain.
