For some the original 1953 Heritage Just wasn't good enough. As pop art took the stage and left the old Heritage behind International brought it's old popular hardy ornate pattern back, pierced. The 60's were hard on silveplate as stainless was taking the main stage. Stainless was easy to care for, beautiful patterns were being made, and besides for the garbage disposal, stainless was pretty indestructible.
Stainless never really achieved the intricacy of silverplate or Sterling. Silverware companies began to carry fewer and fewer silverplate and sterling patterns and stick to very simple or very elaborate. Grand Heritage is on the Elaborate side. The ornate patterns were marketed to the southern U.S and the Simple Art Deco style patterns to the northern U.S.
This spoon ring was handmade by a trained monkey who I have taught to use tools from the jewelry trade to insure a proper fit and professional appearance. He takes great care in forming rings and bracelets into jewelry suitable for a reason, a season, half a banana, or a lifetime.
