Francis I is the most popular Sterling Flatware pattern since it's debut in 1907. It was designed by Ernest Mayer in 1906 and Manufactured by reed and Barton. This pattern is heavy and full of wonderful 3 dimensional detail of a hanging pendant of fruit. Francis 1 also has a sister pattern called Burgundy that came out in 1949, probably as an attempt to modernize the popular design. Frances I is still the best and is probably also the most easily recognizable pattern.
This spoon ring says Reed and Barton on the inside and caries the sterling stamp. This Teaspoon size ring is quite wide and measures 1.03 inches at it's widest. I'm not goofing around when I say this ring is heavy, it weighs over 2/3 of a troy ounce, (20.1 grams) of solid Sterling Silver.
This ring is currently in size 7. I can size it anywhere from 6-13 upon request. It's a sturdy, work hardened ring and not the type that is easily adjustable by hand. This ring will endure a lifetime of use.
