This magical little bell is extremely architectural. Its stunning design is a perfect indication of its time. Released by International Silver in 1923, it couldn't be more art deco.
This bell was handmade by me in my yellow 1908 historic home in downtown Ames, IA. I used a hollow knife handle cut and sanded the end for a smooth finish. The internal workings are done with work hardened sterling silver and the clapper is made of a fork tine. A small lobster clasp acts as a bail for easy placement onto anywhere you desire a charm. Wear it as pendant, hang from the rearview mirror, attached to a purse or bracelet.
This bell is 1 x .75 in and has a pleasant, subtle jingle.
