Guild is an elegant simple Art deco Rogers Pattern from 1932. This style of open space and lines was popular in silverware in the early 30's as the Streamline Moderne era rode out the depression and demand rose for products that were streamlined in appearance. I'm pretty sure the Guild design didn't make the transport of food from plate to mouth any easier but it's modern design probably made a family look more affluent in the tough times. Whoever had these before took really good care of them and the teaspoons are all in marvelous shape.
